From John Battelle’s Searchblog:
Word is ripping around the web that Google is testing a new subdomain called base.google.com. A screen shot – the site has been up and down – shows a Google database of sorts where you can “Post your items on Google.” It’s a tagged database of stuff that heads directly into the world of Paul Ford’s classic “Google Takes All” essay. Apparently this will be debuted at Google’s invite only Zeitgeist conference today. Philipp has more. Link

My blog is worth $0.00.
How much is your blog worth?
Jobs came pouring in this week, including a HUGE project that should keep me busy for a long time to come. more details later.
I’ve spent the last few weeks working on my “comic book site” and things have been progressing pretty good. I realize that the hard part is filling it with content everyday once it’s up and running but I’ll cross that bridge…
Hockey season starts next week and I’ve just received the call about the annual hockey pool set for this weekend. It’s gonna be strange this year with so many of the regulars moved away this year but most are still participating via web and speaker phone so that’s cool. NHL hockey has been missed so that’s something to look forward to.
In the next couple of weeks this blog will hopefully be transformed into a showcase for my design work. I’ve got alot on my plate right now but I’m loving it. Hopefully some good news to report soon so stay tuned.
Well here I am live broadcating from Winnipeg, Manitoba thanks to a kind donation of a WordPress Golden Ticket by Paul Stamatiou. It’s my understanding that this is still a beta version of the WordPress hosted blogging software so I’ll have to take a spin through the software to see what I can see.
update:
There are so many cool things about the interface but alot of stuff that is limited. There is no ability to get into the PHP or CSS, thus the half dozen or so templates included are the only options allowed for now. There is of course no area to add plug-ins either so for now this blog is lacking all but the most basic functionality although I like what has been implemented to date very much.
